Bookclubs are fun but a bookish workshop: the dream.
As the cover of In the Great Quiet features wildflowers—and as planting is fundamental to Minnie’s story—here are two crafts you could try with your book club this month.
dried flower bookmarks
Let’s make some flower bookmarks. You just need
dried flowers (make yourself or find some online)
modge podge + paint brushes
clear acrylic bookmarks + tassels
These are so fun—relaxing to make and super easy. Painting with modge pod is always so peaceful.
SET UP
pour Modge Podge in little jars or cups
dump a stack of brushes in a jar. more jars with water?
scatter dried wildflowers in containers
place acrylic bookmarks about
TO MAKE
paint Modge Podge in thin layer over clear acrylic bookmark
add wildflowers, bookish stickers, glitter, etc. Some enjoy using tweezers for this step.
add another thin layer of Modge Podge
place top piece of clear acrylic bookmark
let dry & add a tassel
